STAR CREST AWARDS CRITERIA
SCR
The STAR CREST Recipient must free fly the exit (no grips) and must participate in a free fall formation involving eight or more skydivers held together for a minimum of 5 seconds.
SCS
The STAR CREST Soloist must free fly the exit (no grips) and participate in a free fall formation involving eight or more skydivers. The SCS candidate must dock eighth or later and remain in the formation for a minimum of 5 seconds.
NSCR
The Night STAR CREST Recipient must free fly the exit (no grips) and must participate in a free fall formation involving eight or more skydivers held together for a minimum of 5 seconds. The skydive must be performed after the full dark of night has fallen.
SCSA
The STAR CREST Skydiver Award recipients, including hoop holders, must free fly the exit, (no grips), pass through a hoop held by two others and form an 8-way or larger formation on the other side of the hoop. A minimum of ten skydivers are required to earn this award and the 2 hoop holders are included.

NSCSA
The Night STAR CREST Skydiver Award is the same as the STAR CREST Skydiver Award, but must be performed after the full dark of night has fallen. The big difference is the skill level and sheer nerve required of participants.

VSCR
The Vertical STAR CREST Recipient may launch up to a 4-way and must participate in a formation involving eight or more skydivers in any free fly configuration (sitting, stinging, head-down, flat). No more than one-half (but not necessarily any) of the formation may fly belly to earth. The final formation must be held together for a minimum of 5 seconds.

VSCS
The Vertical STAR CREST Soloist must free fly the exit (no grips) and dock vertically (sitting, stinging, head-down) into a VSCR qualifying skydive as eighth or later. After the candidate docks, the formation must be held together for a minimum of 5 seconds.

usa nova
The Universal Skydiving Award requires at least 4 skydivers with a free fall videographer and may use a launched exit (grips). There are 4 aerobatic maneuvers that must be performed between five formations: Front loop - back loop - barrel roll - and a 360 degree turn. The 360 turn must be performed as a free fly maneuver, T-turn - sit - head down, or if belly to earth, in both left and right directions. The formations can be any recognizable formation incorporating hand grips.

usa super nova
The Universal Skydiving Award: Super Nova requires 6 or more skydivers with a free fall videographer and may use a launched exit (grips). There are a series of 4 aerobatic maneuvers that must be performed between a series of five formations. The aerobatic maneuvers consist of a star formation - Front loop - back loop - barrel roll and a 360 degree turn and end with a star formation. A flat 360 turn must be performed in both directions. A single 360 turn must be performed either as a sit, back to earth or a T-turn. The formations can be any recognizable formation incorporating hand grips. The videographer is qualified to receive an award.

usa galaxy

The STAR CREST Recipient must free fly at the altitude of 20,000 ft or above. Exit (no grips) and participate in a free fall formation involving eight or more skydivers held together stable for a minimum of 5 seconds.
*A video of the altimeter and jump must accompany the HSCS application.
halo solo
The STAR CREST Recipient must free fly at the altitude of 20,000 ft or above. Exit an aircraft in flight and participate in a completed formation involving 8 or more skydivers ~ dock in eight or later and remain in the formation for a minimum of 5 seconds.
